Trailrunning in Central Asia is not about race courses or marked trails. It is about moving through mountain terrain on foot, at pace, across country that rewards those who cover ground efficiently and read landscape well.
tunduk trailrunning trips are multi-day point-to-point journeys. Some are self-supported with tent and pack; others have logistical assistance for baggage so you carry only what you need to run. Either way, you move under your own power from start to finish — no shortcuts, no transfers.
IZ is the Turkic word for trace and inner substance — the mark left by passage through a landscape. We use it for trail sports because it names exactly what human-powered movement through wild terrain is: light, intentional, and present.
Who Is This For
tunduk trailrunning trips (IZ) are for runners who are comfortable with multi-day mountain terrain, variable conditions, and daily distances that require both fitness and pacing judgment.
Race experience is not required — expedition mindset is. Gear transport, assistance with camp setup and food supply are provided, so you can focus on moving through the landscape.
You should be self-reliant on the trail, adaptable, and more interested in the landscape than the clock. If that’s how you run, you’re in the right place.

Point-to-point by design
Every trailrunning trip moves in one direction — start to finish, no repeated ground. Routes are chosen because they go somewhere worth going, not because they loop conveniently back to a trailhead.
Focus on running
You carry what you need to run. The assistance is logistical — gear transport, camp- and food support is provided on our trailrunning trips. Your legs do the rest.
