When nomads are born…

It was a full, adventurous “tunduk” summer. But 1 trip with 3 little adventurers is deeply engraved in my memory. It was remarkable to see how naturally the children moved around, connected with local shepherds, enjoyed the camping life and rode around individually with their horse.

Local shepherds family, including a 2 month old baby, welcomed us in their yurt.

It’s been kind of a long lasting idea to make Kyrgyzstan accessible as a vacation destination for adventurous families, and bring in our experience in organizing unique trips in this wonderful country. This summer we headed out for a 5 day trekking in the Issyk Kul region. Together with our 6 horses and 2 horse guides we were a solid team.

Of course there was much more to discover than stunning landscapes with wonderful sunsets. The interaction within our crew made it a unforgetable journey. Horses got german names ( f.ex. “Pferdinand”), children got Kyrgyz names,…

Our horses, with amazing  calm characters and used to the natural obstacles they encounter along the way… They carried us carefully through this wild landscapes.

Last but not least. Our local guides “Jocky” and Nick, did so much. Not only did they take care of our 6 horses during the day and night. They were happy to help each one of us, especially the children. Together they played in the evening. It is a lovely fact that people here, take care of the children as if they would be their own. Just natural.

Besides getting from A to B, there was always a full program. Whether it was helping to built up the camp, doing the dishes, filtering water or playing Uno during a short thunderstorm.

And also the older generations have enjoyed it not a little less than the youngest. We let the pictures speak for themself.

Thank you Maé, Yaron, Lea, Eva and Marcel.
