What makes this trip

Good reasons to join.

The one-of-a-kind horse riding experience

Traveling Kyrgyzstan in the most authentic way. Even the locals agree on this! If you know how to deal with horses, you will enjoy the freedom riding through wide landscapes with little to no baggage, and be impressed of the horses’ confidence in difficult terrain.

living a simple nomadic life

Not much more to do than caring for our horses and ourselves, and making some progress along the route. Sounds not much. Yet in the end always enough to be tired in the evening.

Scenic landscapes

From meandering rivers in open valleys to wild waters in narrow gorges. From rocky mountain peaks to mellow pasture lands. From dense forests to sparse highlands.

Safety & insurance.

tunduk operates a structured risk management concept that applies to every trip. Prevention is the priority – we mitigate risk with conservative route decisions, timing, and group management. When conditions change, plans change.

All participants are required to read the tunduk Emergency Concept. It covers prevention, decision-making in the field, and emergency procedures.

On all trips in remote areas without mobile coverage we carry a Garmin inReach satellite communicator for emergency communication.
