We’re excited to show you a Kyrgyzstan that’s off the beaten track.
In autumn, when the snow-capped mountains stand in stark contrast to the orange- collared steppe. An unforgettable adventure by local equestrians, crafted for true horse adventurers. The highlights of this trip are:
130km endurance ride over 3 days, Horseback archery workshops, a Traditional 8km Baige horse race, Ride with eagle hunters & connect
with local nomads.
Push your limits on a true endurance challenge across the vast Kyrgyz steppe and mountain trails. Covering 130 kilometers over three days, this ride demands focus, skills, and cooperation with your local buddy. It’s not a trail ride — it’s a challenge. Our local team will assist you along the way. You only need to ride and navigate.
Ride beside Kyrgyz eagle hunters through their ancestral lands and learn the deep traditions behind this ancient bond between hunter and bird. We stay with local families, share meals, and discover a way of life guided by nature, rhythm, and respect.
Experienced riders – used to ride long distances in faster paces. Great for the real adventurous souls among the rider community.
Unexperienced riders. This trip is all about going with the flow, diving into the local culture. Not for those seeking luxury and detailed hourly programs.
DAY 0 I 17 OCTOBER 2025 | FLIGHT DAY Flight to Bishkek
DAY 1 I 18 OCTOBER 2025 | ARRIVAL DAY
Our adventure begins in the morning. If you’re just arriving, we’ll be there to greet you at the airport. If you’re already in Bishkek, we’ll meet you at your accommodation and head out from there. We’ll start our journey south, making our way toward Tash Rabat—an ancient stone caravanserai tucked away in the remote mountains. On the way, we’ll stop in Kochkor for lunch, where you can also check out some beautiful handmade Shyrdaks (traditional felt carpets) at the same spot. As we drive, you’ll see the landscape shift dramatically—from lush green pastures to vast, high-altitude steppes that feel almost like a desert.
This route leads toward the Chinese border, and you’ll notice the colorful parade of Chinese trucks rolling along the road—a little reminder of how connected this area is to today’s Silk Road.
Our base for this evening is the little city of Naryn. We’ll spend the night in a guesthouse. By the end of the day, you’ll already feel like you’re in a completely different world.
Driving time: 4.5 to 5 hours Sleeping in guesthouse
DAY 2 I 19 OCTOBER 2025 | AT BASHI
This morning, we’ll take a short drive—about an hour—to the village of At-Bashi. There, we’ll visit the bustling animal market, offering a fascinating glimpse into local Kyrgyz culture. The market is especially lively in autumn, with stalls full of livestock and vibrant local activity.
After this stop we make our way to meet Janibai – a legendary horse breeder from Taldy Suu. Janibai has been training horses for Baige, the traditional long-distance horse races of Central Asia, for nearly 30 years. This region, near At-Bashy, is famous for having the best horses in Kyrgyzstan—people travel here from all over the country and even from Kazakhstan for the local horse bazaar. We’ll take the afternoon to get comfortable in the saddle and adjust to the local riding style. You’ll have time to find your balance, adjust your seat and stirrups.
At the end of the afternoon Sezim, our female horse riding guide, will teach us the basics of horseback riding archery – first from the ground and then on horseback. Today we also have to pack everything in the support car that will be following us along the way and get ready for the ride.
We are staying tonight in a guest house.
Riding time: 2 to 3 hours Sleeping in guesthouse
DAY 3 I 20 OCTOBER 2025 | TASH RABAT VALLEY
We’ll start our ride early this morning, heading toward At-Bashi. Today, we’ll cover around 30 km. The terrain is rough and rocky—this is real At-Bashi country, wild and beautiful. The support car will go ahead of us, and each rider will have a map with the route clearly marked. Today is a pure steppe-riding day. Expect open landscapes, lots of sheep, yaks, and herds moving through the valley. The transhumance (seasonal animal migration) has already happened, so most animals are now back down from the high mountains.

DAY 4 I 21 OCTOBER 2025 | TASH RABAT VALLEY TO KARA SUU
